Client’s
Issues & Goals:
- The clients already had a large kitchen and were happy with the floor
plan layout, however, they wanted an updated look.
- They wanted a more open feel to the kitchen.
- They wanted to use quality materials to complement some of the finishes
that were already present in the kitchen.
- The client wanted to reuse their existing marble tile flooring.
- They desired a “remove and replace” type of kitchen remodel, with a
dramatic effect.
Client’s Objectives / Expectations Met & Surpassed:
- It was decided to reuse the existing kitchen cabinets, since the clients
were happy with the functionality and look of the cabinets. In addition,
this would save a good chunk of money.
- The cabinets were beautifully refinished to provide a more modern,
elegant feel.
- To create a more open feel to the kitchen, the existing recessed light
well was removed and the 14” high recess space was captured.
- Stained crown molding, that matched the refinished cabinets, was added
up inside of the recessed light well.
- The huge island and the perimeter countertop areas were capped with
granite slab to provide an elegant feel and to complement the marble tile
floors.
- Pendant lights were installed over the island to provide efficient
lighting & “fill” the expansive area above the island
- Stainless steel appliances were selected to complete the quality feel of
the “remove & replace” style kitchen.
- The existing and new kitchen components blended together to create a
dramatic update.
