Planning Your Remodel
– Items to Consider

1. Determine what you really want in advance. What are your basic priorities and the goals your remodel? Then, write down your ultimate wishes.

2. Cut pictures from magazines and articles. Make notes and questions about various products and designs that you may be potentially interested in.

3. Determine a budget. This will decide what you can do and how you will go about doing it. Get familiar with current remodeling costs and the value of home improvements.

4. Consider financing for the project. If necessary, make inquiries with your mortgage broker, mortgage lender or credit union. Determine if you will pay for the improvements by cash, home improvement loan, home equity line of credit, re-finance, or taking out a second mortgage?

5. CALL Eberle Remodeling to make an appointment at (916) 369-6518.

3) the Construction Phase.
The ultimate goal of the Design Phase, Product Selection and Estimate Phase is to spell out all of the details of your project. We will discuss the value and need for each of these phases.

4. At our office, we can show you our photo portfolio, included are before, during & after photos, that highlights projects we have completed over the years.

5. At our office, we can show you sample designs that have been created through our 3D architectural drafting system to help you envision what the drawings may look like for your project.

6. We will present you with our “Presentation Package”, filled with references and information about remodeling and the Design/Build process. The package will describe the process in greater detail and the rough time line needed to complete the 3 phases of the process.

7. We may discuss ranges of costs for the project that you are considering.

8. We will then let you know what the next steps are.

What Happens During the Design & Estimate Phases?
1. In this phase we will spell out as many of the details as possible. Documenting the details, from the types of appliances, cabinets, countertops & windows, all the way down to the type of baseboards, cabinet door knobs or pulls, & grout color. We will get on paper what will happen in the design and what materials will be used.

2. A detailed written proposal for construction will accompany the design to attempt to clarify all of the pertinent details. The goal is to, as best as possible, reduce the costly change orders that frequently occur in the case of a poorly defined remodeling project.

After The Design & Estimate Are Completed - What Happens?

1. Once an agreement for construction of your project is signed, we can then move to the Construction Phase.

2. We will schedule a start date based on our production schedules.

3. We make progress on your job each and every day.

4. We will communicate with you on a daily basis, through on-site visits, fax, phone or e-mail, whatever works best for you.
